Combat Loneliness
We've had some incredible conversations about loneliness in our groups lately. This feeling is so deeply universal. It can create so much anxiety and a shutting down of sorts...but what if it had an intelligence to it? What if it were looked at as a signal that some of our needs were not being met or it was a nudge, a calling, for us to do something different?
We feel lonely when we separate from self, when we separate from others and when we don't feel we have a place to bring our feelings or full self to.
In our groups we quiet our environment in order to give opportunity to reconnect to self, we hold space for each other in community by listening, witnessing and honoring and we provide a safe and comfortable space in which sharing our feelings is highly regarded.
When we have a space to tap back into the source from which our creativity comes and allow/encourage ourselves to get curious about what is and what wants to reveal itself, we:
Deepen our self awareness
Practice quieting the noise of comparison
Make room for small intentional steps towards imperfection, acceptance and compassion.
